DAY5: Breaking the screed

Final day of the community build we were very happy and tired from the work of the week and we were now tasked to demolish the screed in the existing building by using concrete breaking machines which are very heavy and require focus when dealing wit them. So we had to be focused and toss our fatigue aside and work.

We also cleaned the rubble after breaking it leaving the surfaces clean and neat. we used wheelbarrows and buckets to remove the rubble from the houses to where it was supposed to be dumped. the team work made the tasks to be completed faster and easier. We then took the bathroom utilities, cupboards and scaffolding parts from site back to the site offices and wrapped up our week with some price giving ceremony after. All the team members participated and interacted well through out the week and formed a harmonious working environment for each other.
